Anupama Verma is a model, actress, and television personality from Delhi.

Career

Born in a Punjabi Khatri family, she was Discovered by celebrity photographer Shantanu Sheorey when she was in ninth grade, Verma's first modeling assignment was with Shekhar Kapur for Digjam suiting. Verma has been a covermodel for many leading Indian magazines,and has represented consumer products such as L'Oreal, Cinthol, Fair and Lovely, Ponds, Pantene, Lipton, Braun, and Monte Carlo.

Apart from modelling, Verma has a career in television as a VJ on Channel and acted in the Doordarshan channel's serial program "Ankhen", in which she plays the protagonist, who can foresee crimes that are immediately committed after she has seen them.

Verma was featured in the remix video of Biddu's hit song Boom Boom, sung by the Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, as well as Bali Brahmbhatt's "Tere bin jeena nahi" with Bikram Saluja and Leslie Lewis' "Bheegi bheegi raaton mein" videos. She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 1 on Sony TV.

She has a Masters in Business Economics (MBE) degree in Marketing & Finance from University Of Delhi, South Campus.

Endorsements

Verma is an ambassador for various anti-smoking campaigns, notably Crusade Against Tobacco. She was part of a PETA campaign.
